Still life paintings have deep stories, whether they are 1640’s latin language Bibles or my grandmother’s teapot. It’s nice to know the apple I paint came from a tree I have known my whole life. There is a history and a story to each still life: that is what I value about them.

These paintings are no different than family heirlooms.
